THE DRAUTAL
The small Drautal valley holiday village Berg lies not far from the district towns Spittal an der Drau and Lienz in East Tyrol. Rural idyll with grown structures, traversed by Carinthia’s main river, the Drava (Drau), it’s an ideal place to relax. The Drautal (lit. Drava Valley) begins in East Tyrol in the town of Lienz and ends in Lower Styria just before the Slovenian city of Marburg. A stopover in the district town of Spittal an der Drau, Austria’s largest district in terms of area, is of course a must. The Drau, the main river, rises west of Lienz am Toblacher Feld between Toblach and Innichen and flows through the entire Pustertal to Lienz. With a length of 750 kilometres, it is the main river in Carinthia. From its source to its end, you can enjoy tours along the Drau cycle path R1! In the middle of the picturesque Drautal valley lies our small village called Berg im Drautal, a place to feel good, with countless leisure possibilities. Whether in summer or winter: Those seeking peace and quiet as well as sportsmen and -women can enjoy hikes, bike tours, sporting activities and, of course, wellness food.
