Cosy and rural rooms with panoramic views of the Emberger Alm. You will experience this in our house. Our restaurant is not just for our hotel guests: it has also become one of the top addresses in the Drautal region and around Lake Weissensee. Wellness enthusiasts and sports fans will also find something to their liking in our hotel. Our wellness area offers ideal relaxation in winter after skiing and is of course also open for you in summer. Athletes sweat in our hotel’s own fitness centre as well as by bike along the Drau cycle path (R1) or on mountain bike tours in the mountains. Bowling fun with family and friends is guaranteed by our four modern Vollmer bowling alleys. You can read here in detail what you can look forward to during your visit to our house.

Food & Drink
A varied cuisine with products from the region guarantees fresh culinary delights. Starting with a rich breakfast buffet, a lunch with menu offers and à la carte dishes up to a gala menu in the evening, we fulfil your wishes, combined with Carinthian cordiality in service. We are also happy to host your company, wedding or family party with up to 150 people. You will find pictures of our wedding celebrations and our culinary creations on our Facebook page under the menu item Albums. Seasonal highlights round off our culinary offer. Particularly popular on special occasions are the meat pancake dinner on Shrove Tuesday and our New Year’s Eve Gala Menu followed by a Sunshine New Year’s Eve party.
FOR BODY AND SOUL
Two Finnish sauna chambers with cold pools, a Roman steam bath, a physiotherm infrared cabin and a solarium round off the hotel offers and guarantee optimal relaxation. The wellness area is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., for guests seeking peace and quiet as well as for locals. Hotel guests use the wellness area free of charge, for locals there are flexible entrance prices starting from two persons.
On 70 square meters, our sporty guests will find everything they need, from equipment for weight training to equipment for endurance sports. Famous skiers like the Drautaler Olympic champion Fritz Strobl or the current ÖSV athlete Carmen Thalmann use the fitness centre as well as hotel guests and locals who are keen on sports.

Bowl in the Drautal today
Bowling in the Drautal area is a very special experience. The primary meeting point for young and old in Berg im Drautal, the bowling alley, includes a bar right inside the Ferienhotel Sunshine. Four Vollmer classic sports lanes offer a special bowling experience in the only Drautal bowling centre: whether for hobby bowlers or ambitious professional bowlers. The courses have the current ÖSKB certificate and serve numerous bowling clubs as home venues. Soundproof walls guarantee that holidaymakers do not notice the bowling alley. It gets exciting on Saturday afternoons: Our home club, the Osttiroler Sportkegler (OSK), is fighting for valuable points in the Carinthian League on our courses.
